It is a Strong one

Scrap Fit is also one of my favourite challenge blogs. I am really into making hearts and circles with lots of little punches. I like the fact that it creates lots of white space (I love) but is also a bit different. the good thing is one can vary it so much by what punched shapes one uses. This picture I felt was appropriate for the simple challenge because it was taken at an airport whilst I was bored. However it ended up being one of my favourite pictures ever! My daughter is so close to her daddy and I love this about them. They have a super great relationship. It is a simple thing however in the hustle and bustle of life with young kids something I could take for granted. Now that I am back in the swing of things will look around for more challenges !!

Promise Me- Bird is the word challenge

So it has been awhile since I have been on here! It has been a mix of having the new baby, new computer and the xmas holidays! I have been scrapping loads though! I even did the December Daily amongst it all! SO glad I did as I have since looked at it loads!!! I just have not been scrapping for challenges. However I will now get in the swing of it again as I love scrapping for challenges as it opens a whole new world for me
This picture I had for awhile and when I saw the challenge over at Bird is the Word I thought it would go perfectly with this picture. My girls are fighting a lot now.....so the journalling is about how I hope they promise me to be friends through it all.
I used MME sunshine collection. I am trying to use it all up now to make room for new CHA goodies!!!!

You are my Twinkle

So I loved this technique so much that I decided to create another LO for my other daughter. It is called you are my twinkle because that is her nickname. I made this LO being inspired by the challenge over at GET PICKY. The board had daffodils and lots of yellow. I used a picture taken at Easter lunch this year as it had lots of yellow on there already.
I used papers from MME which I die cut using some new Sizzix flower dies I got, Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers and Brackets die. I then used the flowers to cover the heart with the flowers.
I wanted to see how different it would look using die cut flowers vs. bought flowers (which I used in my previous LO posted here prior to this one)

You are my Sunshine. Voce e o meu raio de sol

This is a layout I completed last night for a challenge over at Scrap Playground which is a Brazilian challenge blog. The challenge was to use 3 different types of flowers - colors or materials and also having a SPRING title. I had been wanting to try this for awhile so I cut a heart out of cardstock and covered it with different flowers. I really like the texture this technique produced and I can already see myself trying this again!

Scrap Playground - Brincadeira # 15
O titulo e "you are my sunshine" porque o apelido dela e sunshine (raio de sol)!

Granny's Kiss

A layout I made last night for a sketch over at Frosted Designs. It called for some swirls or bling. I am not huge on bling but somehow have managed to build a collection of them...so this was great opportunity to use some of them up. The bling I used was a big one - too big- so I cut it up and layered it as I felt worked best on this LO.
I also had the opportunity to try a few new things I had been meaning to try. I have this Martha Stewart punch which I punched out some borders and then accented them with tiny brands at the centre of the flower border -you can see it in the detailed pictures. I also used an old Crate Paper die cut which I took the centres off and stuck some patterned paper behind it. I then used large foam dots to lift the layers of petals off the page.
Here I used Crate Paper and MME Stella and Ruby
