Rocking the Bears

I haven't had anytime to scrap with my newborn baby!

However, I did have this one for a challenge over at Scrap Fit where the journalling must go around the page. I hardly ever do this but after completing this LO I am going to use this more as it saves space on the page and keeps my messy handwritting away!
Again I used some old Basic Grey papers. I have so much paper that I think I would need to live to 100, have a dozen children and scrap everyday to use it all up. I am starting to run out of space so hence why I am using the older ones more.... I made some grass with a die and used some Unity tree stamps to create some trees. The clouds were created using my Fiskars cloud punch which I looooove!!!

Messing about in the Garden

Scrap Fit is another challenge blog I enjoy. The challenge they have on at the moment calls for circles. This layout I completed using circles for the trees. At first I was going to make some trees out of patterned paper but then I decided to make it out of circles and the trunk out of Starbucks stirrers! I painted them with Tim Hotlz crackle paint which I really enjoyed the effect it gave. I made the grass using my new die cut from Magnolia.
The papers and embellishments are from the Green at Heart range from Basic Grey. I recently got loads of new packs of patterened paper so I am trying to use some of my older stuff... For the title I used a wooden tag that came with one of my daughter's dresses. My father loved "messing about in the garden" as he so put it!!!

Layouts using Green at Heart line from Basic Grey

I love Basic Grey and when a new line comes out I usually buy all their stuff to go with it! However I am not too keen on rub ons anymore. To make space for the new CHA goodies I am trying to use up my old Basic Grey lines - the one in the firing line this week was Green at Heart. It is a great line as its a fab summer line without the bright colors you get with many summer lines
