Twenty

Another layout completed for a challenge over at ScrapFit
The challenge is to use numbers.
I made this one for my daughter called twenty because at 2 years old she could already count to twenty. I added lots of owls for wisdom!

2008

I completed this layout last night for a challenge over at Once Upon a Sketch. Their designers and layouts are amazing! The challenge this time was to scrap a memorable year and their Guest Designer this month is Stacy Cohen from Creating Keepsakes. I really love what Stacy does. I mean she crochets on her pages! How cool is that?
I scrapped 2008 which was for me such a rollercoaster of a year. It started by me having a baby and ended by me loosing my father. Again I am loving covering up a heart with lots of flowers. I had some transparancy from Fancy Pants which I was not too keen on as the print was too bold and too large for my liking so I punched out a butterfly from it to keep the color but also adding some texture to the page. I am still loving using the negatives from my punched out butterflies!

Tickle Me!

I am loving all the challenges going on at the moment. My diary has a huge list of ones I am hoping to do before they close. Busy times!!! This is my second LO at ScrapFit (I am still hoping to do a banners one as I love banners).

THis one was for the book cover inspiration. One had to look at a book cover for inspiration in terms of either the sketch of the cover, the colors or the vintage feel. I decided to go for the design of the cover only because the linear approach to the sketch is very different from my "comfort zone" so I decided to go with that to stretch me a bit.
However, I did try to soften it somewhat with some circles, clusters and the banner. I also used a large photo 7x5 so that the picture would not get lost amongst the pattern paper
Here I used Fancy Pants Happy together line, prima felt embellishments and some LillyBee rubons. I also used a button which says "I am a tickle monster" which I came across a couple of monts ago with the intention of using it for this picture.
