My Every Day
I managed to get this one done a few minutes ago just in time to enter into the Merly Impressions challenge this month! It was very late in the evening when I took this picture so please excuse the overall quality!
I love the challenges over in their blog which is found here
Last month they were kind enough to choose me and I received this awesome collection pack of Kaisercraft goodies! I was very excited when they arrived in the post!!!!
This month the challenge was a recipe of which one could choose 3 items in a diagonal or vertical line! I have never seen a challenge like this so I needed to get one done this month.
I chose to use paint, layers and flowers.
I started by splattering Mr Hueys on the woodgrain background. I also painted the number 5 as there are 5 members in my family. I also painted 5 little Maya road chipboard clothes in paint and then once that was covered I used Stickles to paint on top. Since this layout is about how much laundry I do I wanted to use Stickles on the chipboard to kind of look like fresh laundry - like clean clothes. Does that make sense? The little dress is for my 4 year old, the onesie is for my baby, the overalls are for my 2 year old and the pants are for my husband and I chose the nice dress for me (although I can be found most of the time in yoga pants....but for the sake of this layout I aspired to wear dresses more often!)
I layered the chipboard on two different sized tags. I also layered the number five on a house die cut and added 2 Kairsercraft crouched flowers ( I love these!)
I kept my title small this time deliberately. I always have large titles on my pages and I quite like the look of a small title. Just to change things up a bit!!!
I tried to keep my choices of embellishments, papers and feel very homey and cosy. I seem to be always always doing laundry now that we are a family of 5 so it was important for me to document this phase of my life!
Thanks for looking!
